9Zero Hosts Female Only WAGR, Played at all Three of Africa's Top Golf Courses
The 9Zero Ladies Open was held at the spectacular Fancourt Golf Estate, where competitors faced a true championship test across all three of the estate’s renowned courses, culminating with a final round on The Links, ranked as the number one golf course in South Africa.
Lara van Niekerk produced a composed and consistent performance to claim the title with a 54-hole total of 221 (+4), finishing four shots clear of Serena Manduca, with Isabella Ferreira securing third place. A demanding final round on The Links ensured the championship remained in the balance, providing a fitting conclusion to a highly competitive week.
The tournament showcased the strength of women’s amateur golf while continuing the 9Zero Foundation’s commitment to providing elite players with opportunities to compete in professionally run championships at some of the world’s finest golfing venues.
Congratulations to Lara van Niekerk on a superb victory, and to Serena Manduca and Isabella Ferreira for their outstanding performances throughout the championship. 9Zero Race to the USA at Kings Acre Golf Club
The 9Zero Race to the USA returned to Kings Acre Golf Course, where another talented field of junior golfers competed over 54 holes in pursuit of the title.
Kaylen Martin claimed his first 9Zero Race to the USA victory after producing an excellent all-round performance to finish two shots ahead of Dominic McGlinchey, who mounted a strong charge during the final round.
The championship continued to provide aspiring junior golfers with the opportunity to compete in a professionally run, multi-day tournament while developing their competitive experience in a challenging environment.
Congratulations to Kaylen Martin on a well-earned first 9Zero Race to the USA title, and to Dominic McGlinchey for an excellent runner-up finish. We would also like to thank Kings Acre Golf Course for once again hosting the championship, and to all the players, parents, officials, and volunteers who helped make another successful 9Zero event possible.

9Zero 54 Hole event at Dunbar and Craigielaw
The 9Zero Race to the USA once again brought together a talented field of junior golfers for a 54-hole championship, played across two of Scotland’s finest links courses, Dunbar Golf Club and Craigielaw Golf Club.
Cameron Mukherjee claimed his second 9Zero Race to the USA title, producing another composed performance to finish two shots clear of his brother, Sam Mukherjee, after holding off a strong final-round challenge.
The event continued to provide young golfers with the opportunity to compete in a professionally run, multi-day championship while gaining valuable tournament experience against a strong field of competitors.
Congratulations to Cameron Mukherjee on another outstanding victory, and to Sam Mukherjee for an excellent runner-up finish. We would also like to thank Dunbar Golf Club and Craigielaw Golf Club for hosting the championship and providing a fantastic test of links golf. 9Zero Kingswood Open
The 9Zero Foundation Kingswood Open welcomed a competitive field of amateur golfers for another WAGR event, held at the outstanding Kingswood Golf Estate in George, South Africa.
Ian Barnard claimed the title with an impressive 54-hole total of two-under-par, finishing ahead of CJ Van Wyk in second place. His consistent performance across the three rounds earned him his official WAGR Ranking and the R2,500 winner’s prize fund.
The tournament continued the 9Zero Foundation’s mission of providing elite amateur golfers with opportunities to compete in professionally run WAGR events and gain valuable ranking opportunities in a highly competitive environment.
We would also like to thank Kingswood Golf Estate for hosting the championship, along with all the players, officials, and volunteers who helped make another successful 9Zero Foundation event possible.

Inaugural Co-Sanctioned 9Zero Foundation and Southern Cape Golf Union: Pinnacle Point Open
The Pinnacle Point Open Presented by 9Zero Foundation and the Southern Cape Golf Union brought together a strong field of amateur golfers for a WAGR event on one of South Africa’s most picturesque golf courses.
Wendell Bossenger produced an outstanding performance to claim the title by four shots ahead of Tiaan Hugo, securing his second 9Zero Tour victory. His consistent golf throughout the championship earned him the R2,500 winner’s cheque, a weekend getaway at Duiwekloof Lodge, and valuable WAGR ranking points.
The success of the event marks another significant milestone for the 9Zero Foundation as it continues to create high-quality tournament opportunities for elite amateur golfers. The Foundation remains committed to providing meaningful competitive pathways and rewarding experiences for players through professionally run events.
Congratulations to Wendell Bossenger on a deserved victory, and to Tiaan Hugo for an excellent runner-up finish. Ollie and Anastasia Win the R2 Race to the USA
The 54 hole R2 Race to the USA event was from 19-21 March at Longniddry Golf Club for day one, and Craigielaw Golf Club for the second and third days. Ollie Mukherjee had an exceptional second round 60 (-11) at Craigielaw.
This was followed up with a third round of 67, enabling Ollie to comfortably win by 13 shots. In the ladies event, Anastasia Hekkonen had a solid three rounds of 72, 71 and 73. She held the top spot for all three rounds and sailed her way to victory by 9 shots.

Boon & Jacobs Sweep Awards
All through the series an order of merit system was being run, which Caylum Boon comfortably winning the award. Caylum won a Cobra Stand bag which was sponsored by Adam Mckinlay.
Furthmore the lowest scoring average for series went to Hanlo Jacobs with an average of 70.7. Hanlo took home a dozen Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls sponsored by The Invitational.

Jacobs Wins Tour Championship
The Tour Championship was played at Oubaai Golf Club on 21 & 22 November 2022. Great scoring was had over the 2 days, with Caylum Boon leading after round 1 with a very good 68 gross, really setting the pace for the tournament. It was however the consistent Hanlo Jacobs who eventually after two second place finishes in the 9Zero series, broke his duck with a three shot victory over Caylum Boon.

WAGR Points Earned
Results from both of the last 2 events held at Oubaai Golf Club on 24 & 25 Oct and 7 & 8 Nov respectfully were submitted to WAGR to be assessed for ranking points.
Although both events had small field power ratings were allocated as follows:
- October had a power rating of 28.9073
- November had a power rating of 17.0224
Congratulations to Vukasin Suturovic whose 6th place finish in the October event earned 4.2153 pts towards his WAGR ranking, and to James Murray whose victory earned 7.7979 pts enough to be re-ranked.
8 Nov '22 - Oubaai Golf Club
Victory for Murray
After opening rounds of 70 & 70, solid golf led to James Murray being tied with 1st round leader Hanlo Jacobs after 16 holes at -2, two shots ahead of 36 hole leader Caylum Boon. Both Murray and Jacobs found the bunker on the left of 17, Jacobs had incredibly bad luck with his ball being plugged underneath the lip of the bunker.
Playing the last Murray now had a 1 stroke lead over both Jacobs and Boon (in the clubhouse), both Murray and Jacobs pared the 18th leaving Murray the victor by 1 stroke.

25 Oct '22 - Oubaai Golf Club
Back to Back for Boon
Scores of 70, 70 and 70 over 3 rounds of golf played at Oubaai in windy conditions proved to be good enough for Caylum Boon to book his place in a playoff with Hanlo Jacobs (72, 68 & 69).
On the first hole of the sudden death playoff, hole 18 Caylum holed a 12 footer for birdie to beat Hanlo Jacobs who managed a par 5.

Should each of the tournament results meet WAGR's criteria, ranking points will be made available.

27 Sep '22 - George Golf Club
2 Shot Victory for Boon
Caylum Boon made birdie on 4 of the last 5 holes which included a miraculous bogey 4 on the par 3 17th hole, to post an even par total of 144 and to take victory by 2 strokes over 18 hole leader Ian Norgarb.
6 Sep '22 - Kingswood Golf Estate
Play-off Win for Moore
In very difficult conditions, Titch Moore made up 2 strokes in the last 2 holes to force a playoff with Caylum Boon. After halving the 1st Hole at Kingswood twice, Titch Moore eventually birdied the 3rd playoff hole to claim victory.

Van Wyk Wins in Play-off
In a finish that perfectly announced the arrival of the 9Zero Amateur Golf Tour, Alex van Wyk etched his name into the history books on Sunday, surviving a gripping three-hole playoff to defeat Wendell Bossenger and claim the first-ever 9Zero AGT event at Oubaai Golf Club.
